“Butter Yellow Dream reflects Charlotte’s love of taking a simple object, enlarging it in an almost naïve way, and cropping the composition tightly to create a sense of boldness and edge. By pushing the florals beyond their natural scale, the subject becomes less delicate and more graphic, almost abstract in expression.

The close composition gives the artwork a striking presence while still holding onto the softness of the aquarelle medium, balancing playfulness with calm.

The piece is painted in aquarelle and built around shades of Honey Glow, Butter Yellow, and Sunwashed Gold, softened with touches of Vanilla Cream and Warm Ivory.
